Learning Support Assistant To Work in Special Schools (Supporting): 
Males & Females, 30+
Ideal Candidate

You will ideally have experience of supporting children with special educational needs or will have a passion to work with students with special educational needs. Working with Theatre in Education (TIE) or workshops with children are beneficial. By being proactive and taking initiative, you are going to be able to build up relationships with students and gain knowledge of a wide variety of needs.

Main Duties
You will be working in special school settings. Many of our schools are already working with actors and drama graduates, and they will support you as long as you are proactive and willing to learn. You will support students with ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition), complex needs and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). The majority of students are non-verbal and with such a wide range of learning difficulties, and students are supported by a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists and speech and language therapists. Some students will have physical disabilities are wheelchair users. Being able to use Makaton or PECs will be ideal. You will also assess individual learning needs and work on a group basis. Personal Care (feeding and changing) will be required as well.

Flexible StartCompensation & Union Contract Details
£70 a day (8:30am until 16:00pm). Weekly payment.
