Chinese school extras: Anyone, aged 18 to 35
Scene in a Saturday school to learn Chinese – anyone up to 35yrs ish can apply.
- Ethnicity: Chinese, Eurasian / Pan Asian, Japanese, Korean
Theatre and game show audience: Anyone, aged 38 and over
We’ve got quite a few different scenes across the film either in theatres or our 90s TV game show where we need audience.
Chinese New Year revellers: Anyone, aged 25 and over
Fancy joining us to celebrate Chinese New Year? We would like a good percentage of the visitors to be Southeast Asian but also open to all ethnicities.
Mr Chung’s chronies: Male, aged 35 and over
Mr Chung is the villain of the film. You share a scene with him playing Mah Jong.

Description
Available roles: featured speaking roles, featured non-speaking roles and background/crowd opportunities. We are looking for people local to Northamptonshire.
Synopsis: 1997 was a big year in history. Titanic was released, the first Harry Potter book was published, Things Can Only Get Better blared through the streets, we won Eurovision for what turned out to be the last time and the Lee Family got the chance to appear on their favorite TV game show Fame To Fortune.
And the Lees really need this – their family Chinese takeaway isn’t doing very well and they are at risk of losing it. But as luck would have it, their many many prayers have been answered and they have been selected to appear on the game show they pretend they’re on behind the takeaway counter on a quiet night led by youngest sibling Jenny Lee who has an unnerving obsession with unlikely crush Frank Fox, the show’s host.
But there’s a big problem. Oldest daughter Susan, the black sheep, has been auditioning for a play behind her father Cyril’s back. And she’s got the lead role. Cyril could probably forgive her for getting caught up in her silly dreams in time but it turns out opening night is the same night as the game show
