Our protagonist’s homosexual awakening couldn’t have come at a worse time. Mike has lived his life going through the motions with his childhood sweetheart, Emma. But on Christmas Eve, he is launched out of the closet, and now must decide whether to continue doing what he thinks is best for everyone or live his truth.

Lucas (Lead): Male, 20-29
Lucas is on a losing streak – he can’t hold down a job, he makes reckless decisions, and is constantly shown up by his perfect’younger sister, Emma. His attitude and apathy only does so much to protect him from real world problems. At this Christmas dinner, he’d really rather be anywhere else.

Emma (Lead): Female, 20-27
Every element of her life is perfectly planned, from her relationship to hosting their first Christmas dinner. Emma has appearances to keep up, and very different plans for the future than Mike. Slightly neurotic but ultimately sweet, Emma is ultra-feminine and the image of a 1950’s housewife.

Grandma (Supporting): Female, 60-80
God and family are the two priorities in Mike’s Grandma’s life. Mike grew up with Emma and Lucas, so Grandma sees them all with equal fondness. Although her growing senility allows the odd poorly timed comment to slip out, she means well for everyone.

Preferably 2 rehearsals around 2 weeks before shooting

Compensation & Union Contract Details
Pay of a flat fee of £150 per role, as well as compensation for food and travel.
