Rhia (Supporting): Female, 20-30
Needs to have Welsh accent.
Rhia is the supporting role of the film. She is Jessa’s older sister and single mother to Dylan. She helps Jessa as much as she can with her alcohol addiction, continuously looking after her younger sister, but is pushed to her limits by her sister’s drunken behaviour.
Ethnicity: White / European Descent

Father (Supporting): Male, 35-45
Needs to have Welsh accent.
The Father is the villain of the film. An alcoholic, we only see him drunk verbally and physically abuse / attack Jessa. He has thrown around each of them as he is much larger, he is credibly heavy handed and can hurt with just the slightest of touches.

Mother (Supporting): Female, 35-45
Needs to have Welsh accent.
The Mother is a smaller role. She is only seen trying to protect Jessa as a child but is abused by her alcoholic husband. The mother is quite a quiet character, shadowed mostly by the father in situations, but also very strong and fighting.

Description
I’m looking for Welsh actors with a Welsh accent. Ideally, local to Swansea / Cardiff but I will be willing to pay for transport to shoot from further locations.**

A 20 minute short drama film about alcoholism in the family and how it affects adult children of alcoholic parents.

Jessa, suffered greatly in her childhood and the hands of her alcoholic father. Now older, she has to deal with the after effects of the traumas and how they have shaped her as a person and alcoholic herself. Flashbacks of her childhood trauma turns Jessa to the bottle. Rhia, her sister, and Dylan, her nephew, are the only 2 people in her life left that care for her. Continuously, her drunk behaviour pushes them away.

It’s a very personal project for me and I really want to bring awareness to the issue of alcoholism in the family and the affects that an alcoholic parent can have on a child.
