Additional Instructions
Previous ocean ship or hotel experience in the (light) entertainment sector (e.g. entertainment host, presenter, entertainment Officer, animator) is required.
Excellent fluent English skills – verbal and written. English is the working and safety language onboard, other languages are an asset
A valid Medical, US C1/D Visa and STCW Certification will be required once appointed.

Responsibilities/Requirements
· The Primary role of the Entertainment Host is to assist the Discovery Leader with multiple activities throughout the cruise (day & evening time).
· Assists the Discovery Leader with the efficient running of the entertainment activities.
· Works closely with the Discovery Leader and is overseeing all entertainment activities, including evening entertainment, social events, games, lectures, and religious services.
· Hosting a variety of events on board, including deck games & parties, trivia, game shows, and karaoke.
· Concentrate on socializing with guests and making them feel part of the Entertainment program onboard.
· Taking ownership of guests comments/issues and dealing and responding effectively.
· Supporting the entertainment department and other ship departments to ensure that the guest’s experience is the best possible.
· Taking part in safety drills and crowd control in muster stations
